Brief:

In 2014 Cork City Council Arts Office held a competition for architectural practices and multidisciplinary architect-led teams, the purpose of which was to enhance and extend the public’s experience of and engagement with architecture. The brief sought the collaborative redesign (with a selected user group) of a frequently used public shelter.

Response:

Paula teamed up with Martin Fitzgerald, an Interaction Designer and Seoidin O’Sullivan, an Artist, to carry out workshops with a user group from Cork Institute of Technology. In response to discussions, sketching and digital mapping exercises, they developed a threefold design approach surrounding issues with the No. 208 bus stop at CIT.
The design proposal was showcased as part of the Sharing Architecture public exhibition in the City Hall in May 2014
