Brief:
The present Killarney House was once the stable block of a French chateau style residence built by Valentine Browne in the mid-1720s. The stable block of the original house was remodelled as a residence for the Browne’s and their staff between 1913 and 1915. The client required various services throughout the project ranging from Project Management and Clerk of Works during the building refurbishment works, PSDP for the soft landscaping, through to Project Management services for the fit out of the interpretive element of the project
Response:
The restoration of Killarney House was an extremely detailed and multifaceted project and required our liaison between a large design team and the main contractor. Corex provided the PSDP role and Project Management services for the soft landscaping of the gardens. This was a very complex project as the gardens were accessed by the public during the weekends in the early stages and then 7 days a week during the planting phase. The designers and contractors for the interpretive element were based outside Ireland, Corex helped ensure all statutory compliances, pre and post installation.
